Madrilenos are real night owls, like most Spaniards. This means the bars don’t really get going until at least 10pm. So make like locals and grab a late siesta and enjoy a leisurely tapas or Mexican meal before hitting the cocktail bars.
In this lovely European gem there are more bars than you can shake a cocktail umbrella at! This is the quintessential city that never sleeps, and it’s at its most liveliest between 1am - 6am.

Best Time to Go
As a city break destination, Madrid is beautiful year round. If you want the best temperatures though you’ll want to stick to May, June and September. During July and August, temperatures can reach 40 degrees. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
